Piper's Crowspecializes in traditional music from the Celtic regions of Ireland, Scotland, Galicia, Cape Breton Island, and Northumberland. Their instrumental retinue includes fiddle, Northumbrian smallpipes, medieval greatpipes, Scottish smallpipes, wooden flute, tin whistles, recorders, concertina, guitar, bouzouki, percussion, and vocals. The group's repertoire centers on the lush acoustic synergy of smallpipes, fiddle, flute, and guitar, with their musical palette ranging from lovely vocals to dramatic greatpipe duets. The members of Piper's CrowóDick Hensold, Bruce Bowers, Laura MacKenzie, and Karen Muelleróare experienced performers, and the group's presentations are well suited to a broad range of venues, from concert halls and festivals to school programs and workshop/demonstrations. Their presentations are of interest to all ages.
